TITANIC OBSESSION [Part Four]

Currently, I am still looking for the TITANIC model. One of my friends has it, and he bought it for RM200, with the paintings all that. It must be an interesting model to me. Everytime I went to Toy Shop, TITANIC is always in my mind. Until now, I never find it though. I wonder they still have the stocks.

Anyway, just pray for me that I may get it someday. Haha! :-)

TITANIC OBSESSION [Part Three]

The picture shown above is TITANIC: DELUXE COLLECTOR’S EDITION DVD that I have mentioned before. It costs me RM79.90, my own money. Well, if you love something so much, I guess you won’t really care how much money you spend as long as you get it in the end. (or it’s just me doing that? Whatever…) Plus with the VCD, in total I have spent nearly RM100 due to my obsession. That’s only a small amount if compared to all those Hollywood stars who spend millions for collecting all those cars, shoes, outfits, diamonds, bla! bla! bla!

Anyway, as I said, it was a long journey to get the DVD. After I saw the advertisement on the internet, I went to town for a look out. They didn’t have it, I guess until today, they still don’t have it. What can I say, Bintulu town will always be Bintulu town.

When I was going to Miri for Robotics Competition (I was form 4) in the month of July, all the participants were given time to shop around first before the big day. We went to Boulevard Hypermarket. I managed to spot the DVD in SPEEDY. I was so excited at that time but something brought me down. The price. I didn’t bring enough money. Kinda disappointed. At some point, feel wanna cry. :-(

Toward the end of the year, lucky for me, my family went to Miri for doing all those shopping spree as we used to do. The first thing in my mind is the DVD when we reached Boulevard. I browsed through the rack and THANK GOD! It’s still there! What do you think happening next? No need to tell more!

JULY – DECEMBER (6 months – my patience paid off!)

The DVD seems to be completing my obsession at that time. It has all the things that I crave for. Behind Scenes Mode, Music Video, Deleted Scenes, Videomatics,…… I have the chance to see how they make the movie. Just for your information, if the deleted scenes were included in the final version of TITANIC, it would have 45 minutes longer.

Do you know?
Matthew McConaughey is among the candidates for the character Jack Dawson. Obviously, he didn’t get it. Somehow, I cannot imagine him kissing Kate Winslet and all those scenes in the movie. He has good body but I think Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet really made up the most ideal couples that I have seen.

TITANIC OBSESSION [Part Two]

I was so obsessed with TITANIC that I have been desperately looking for its VCD and soundtrack since I was 14 years old.

You may be wondering why I only started to do so 4 years after I have watched the movie. One thing for sure is that my passion for this movie will never fade. Well, I will never miss the opportunity to watch TITANIC whenever it is being broadcasted on ASTRO until a certain time, they never show it again. Same goes with the song, “My Heart Will Go On”, stop too! I will always watch MTV or V and anticipating them to broadcast the music video until my parents de-subscribe the channels. DAMN! I AM DESPERATE TO WATCH IT AGAIN.

Back to my journey of retrieving those stuff into my life. It took me 4 years. Eventually, I got it all. (I guess!)

I am begging my parents to look for “My Heart Will Go On”, either audio or video. Somehow, my daddy got it from his friend through handphone. You know lah, all those Bluetooth stuff.

I still remember it was somewhere in July where TV3 broadcasted TITANIC movie during weekends. It has been so many years I didn’t watch it. After the movie finished, I feel like that I was not really that satisfied. With a burning spirit in me, I have determined to look for its VCD during the following week. YEAH, I GOT IT!

Somehow, I feel something is missing. Damn, I miss the music video. By that time, I was still new to this online stuff. I don’t even know the existence of YouTube, Friendster and even Facebook. At the mean time, I heard people all around me keep on saying MSN, DoTA. Err….. Excuse me, what’s that??

Anyway back to me. I will keep on looking for the music video whenever I went to any VCD shops. Sadly, none of them sell the music video, even the compilation with other artiste. I still remembered that I would like to buy Power of Love (first one) but after I know it is just a CD and don’t have VCD, I was sad again.

I also keep o searching when I have the chance to online. (Remember, YouTube is not in my mind at that time.) I just keep on typing “MY HEART WILL GO ON MUSIC VIDEO FREE DOWNLOAD” again, again, whether using Yahoo or Google. Disapponting. They don’t have the free one.

In the middle of searching, I spotted something that catch my attention. TITANIC DELUXE COLLECTOR’S EDITION DVD. One of the features is music video of the soundtrack. It must be my song! Eventually, I got it too! (but the journey is tougher than last time, will be revealed later.)

I am still not satisfied because the music video is embedded in the DVD. Don’t know how to extract it. It’s an original DVD, well, I guess cannot be done. I am not an IT nerd.
Luckily, one of my friends has it. (Where was she when I was so desperate last year?) Anyway, I got it from her.

This is not as I expected but I also managed to get other soundtracks of the movie where all are only music. Among my favourite are “Nearer My God To Thee” and “Unable to Stay, Unwilling to Leave”. And also, other versions of “My Heart Will Go On”. Woah! There are lots of them.

You must be thinking this guy is pretty much crazy and pathetic. Well, may be I am but as I said, I am OBSESSED, or perhaps “POSSESSED”! Haha! :-)

TITANIC OBSESSION [Part One]

Some of you may know already, I am such a big fan of one of the biggest movie that ever made none other than TITANIC. Perhaps it is hard to find a guy who says Titanic is his MOST favourite movie of all time. Well, I am of them. I know this movie through the song “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion when I was seven years old. Love the song too, by the way. I only have the chance to watch the movie when I was nine. I still remember it was on 31st December 1999 when the movie was premier broadcasted on ASTRO via Star Movies. I fall in the love with the movie ever since.

I myself really enjoy the story of Jack Dawson and Rose Dewitt Bukater. Their true love relationship is built completely on trust. Unfortunately, their fictitious story is again only a masterpiece of movie maker. (A guy named Jack Dawson did existed though back to that time) It’s hard to find such beautiful thing nowadays. Well, I guess that can only exist in work of a good scriptwriter.

Another reason is that I am also kinda fascinated by the history of the real ship itself. I will never miss any chance to watch the documentaries of TITANIC which may be either broadcasted on Discovery Channel or National Geographic. Has been on the bottom of the sea since 14 April 1912, Titanic is expected to be vanished in 15 to 20 years due to the corrosion that caused by the constant flowing sea water. It is such a disappointing that TITANIC cannot complete its maiden voyage from England to New York, America.
But I heard that there is a plan to rebuild the ship whole over again. Among the rational of this project is to complete the unfinished journey back to 1912. Wow! If that comes true, how I wish if I have the opportunity to aboard the ship one day. Well, just hope it won’t hit iceberg again and have enough lifeboats.

HELLBOY II

I'm currently anticipating to watch HELLBOY II: The GOLDEN ARMY which be in cinema on 10 July. Really can't wait to watch the movie. Love the first one and expect more from this one.
