End of Holiday

Finally, mid-semester break comes to an end. Well, practically, none of my days here so far is a real holiday to me, with all those works. That is the way I perceive it, at least. Even though I was not able to go back to my home sweet home during this holiday, I do feel grateful and blessed to be given the opportunity to attend the 5-day STE. I am thankful, really. Those moments are truly irreplaceable. Only God knows how much I treasure those times.

After this, daily schedule will be more packed. 5 weeks left before our study week. Second round of tests, assignments, quizzes etc. will be squeezed within this short period of time. With other upcoming events, guess things may get out of hand. Well, with good time management, everything will work out fine, I hope. There is no room for stress and frustration at this point. All of us must be alert to bear with the approaching challenges. Don't forget to have fun and indulge yourself, everyone.

May not write as often after this but will try my best to update. No promise.
God bless everyone. ;)

BUT, I am strong enough to bear with the truth to get through the day, because I have changed.

Even though we don't meet each other
That doesn't mean the happiness is not there

The most important thing is that we have to treasure those we get to meet
and remember them

That will be the real meaning of happiness
'cause someone out there still remembers and appreciates you

I befriend with you because of what you are
Not because you are me

Well, it will be a bonus if we share lots of things in common.

*Inspired to write something.

Earth Hour

All you need to do is just to switch off the electricity for one hour (2030-2130),
as simple as that.

Do it for the sake of our Mother Earth,

and also,

our future generations.

Soaring The Eagle (STE)

It has been a while I didn't write here. For the last 2 weeks, my daily timetable has been so packed with tests and assignments. This week which was suppose to be my mid-semester break, I have to attend a motivational camp held by PETRONAS for the scholars, Soaring The Eagle (STE) which was located at Agrotek Garden Resort, Ulu Langat, Selangor.

Despite the fact that my friends who have joined the camp last time claimed that it was boring, I was really looking forward to attend and involved myself with positive mind, even though it has taken my one-week holiday in which I could go back home to spend time with family. I believe that everything happens for a reason. I did get take away from the camp.

********************

We reached the resort around 6.30pm on 21. We were warmly welcomed by the workers there, with some throwing of flower petals (don't know the exact term). I was arranged in the same room with Wee Kheng, Lawrence, and Aman. Not forgetting our guests Kerry and Graham. A little briefing at night by the facilitators.

View of the resort

All our sessions were conducted on top of the hill

We were divided into 2 groups and were under different facilitators. For my group, our facilitators were Mr. Jalil and Madam Joyce.

Madam Joyce & Mr. Jalil

It has been a fun time for every session that we get to spend with them. Madam Joyce with her smile and stories. Mr Jalil with his fierce-look but turns out to be opposite, with all that sense of humors. Every session is truly fruitful and meaningful. Of course, it has been enjoyable.

Without being long-winded, let the pictures do the talking.

Eventually, STE come to an end. Time passes so fast. It is still hard for me to believe that I am now in UTP already where we just have so much fun last night. The whole camp has been a memorable one. New friends that we get meet, time that we get to spend, memories that we get to cherish, moments that we get to treasure.

STE indeed will be an unforgettable memories of mine.

As for my group, thanks for everything. You guys are simply the best. All the best in UTP.

Hate Facebook...

....new layout!

As a regular Facebook surfer, I really detest the latest change made to Facebook. The previous one was good enough for me, in which I think is neat and tidier. The new layout freaks me out. Everything is jumbled up, confusing, messy! The news feed is real chaotic, either at my home page or my own profile.

I want the old Facebook layout back!

Still Occupied

Damn the UTP line Internet connection, cannot online for the past few days. Never like the connection at hostel here.
Perhaps there is a reason behind all these incompetency. This week is my test week. Shall focus more on my revision. Now, it is all over, for now. Left with assignments yet to be accomplished.

Nothing much to talk about now because as I am still mentally tired and have stuff to do.

Just an update:
My family is coming next Tuesday. So excited! Exactly 2 months since the last time I saw them. Can't wait! *jump in joy*

Peace, everyone. ;)

Bond

Life is sweet,
Just because of the friends we have made,
And the things which in common we share;

We want to live on, not because of ourselves,
But because of the people who care.

It's giving and doing for somebody else.
On that, all life's splendor depends...
And the joy of this world,
when you've summed it all up,
Is found in the making of friends.

SHARING IS CARING

Nice header for our blog. Great job, admin. ;)

*Friendship has its own up and down. Conflicts may happen, because they don't understand you. It takes time. So, just hold on, no matter what happens.

DE and CE

I like Mathematics to the max.
I am very enthusiastic when I am doing my Differential Equations assignments.
I am very excited when I am doing my Differential Equation tutorial exercises (even though the lecturer never discuss the questions with us)
I cure my boredom and loneliness by studying Differential Equations.
I am very curious how are the formulae given in the textbooks derived.
I want understanding, not mere memorizing.

BUT,
I don't like Chemistry assignments.
I never do my Chemistry tutorial exercises. (Even though the GA will discuss the exercises with us.)
Sometimes I just memorize the formulae given. I am lazy to know how are they derived.
Studying Chemistry makes me feel sleepy.

If I could love Chemistry and other subjects as much as I love Differential Equations.....
Nothing is perfect.

Passion is the one matters. It is not the duty that you hold as a student.
God bless me. ;)

Things pop into my mind

Time is ticking constantly, and it will never stop. Shall appreciate the moment you have now, and you will never know whether you have the chance to experience the next moment of your life.

Okay. Cut this out. Time to be serious. Now I am entering eighth week of my undergraduate studies. I still have 7 weeks of lectures to go before final exam. Wow! It is hard to believe that I am already half way there. Even though my schedule is packed, with assignments, tests, projects and stuff, frankly, I do enjoy the hectic of studies life. Really have to keep this motto: ‘Enjoy studies life to the max!” since you only have studies life once. Should realize this fact from the beginning and cherish every single second of it. Wondering what will happen toward the end of my final year? It will surely be a nostalgia, be it sweet or bitter. Too soon to talk about it though. Think a lot when I am alone.

Stress, breakdown, disappointment are parts of studies life, come on, deal with them. Don’t let them condemn you. Pull yourself together and try again. Well, I find this is kind of enjoyment, too. Call me insane, whatever, I am just trying to be more optimistic. =)

Long time I didn’t stay this late. Today is public holiday, no class to attend. So, can stay awake even later. Just done with my assignments and tutorial exercise, yet still have others in the list waiting for me to accomplish them. Some more, this week I will be having 3 tests in one day. Wondering why I am not in stress mode now. Perhaps it is my inborn personality: to procrastinate and only stress one day before. Until then, enjoy the free time.

Been busy during weekdays, I have fallen in love with weekends more than ever, the only free time that I have. Free in terms of free from lectures and classes but not from work definitely. That why we are given 2 days off, just to finish up what is given during the 5-day class. Anyway, still love weekends.

I just write stuff that run into my mind at this moment and also, just to update this blog. Kind of feeling guilty for abandoning it quite a while, but I will never leave it alone. That is a promise. Blame the lousy internet connection and my schedule, and not forgetting, my own laziness, sometimes. Will try to get blog spirit back to update it daily. Miss the blogosphere, reading others’ blogs. Seems like I have left out. Gonna catch up.

Alen, Happy Birthday

The biggest size among all my other brothers, is going to take PMR the end of the year, but the rest of the family and I, don't expect much from him. Everyone has their strength and weakness. He is a great Taekwondo player. Last year, he represented Bintulu to fight in State Championship and he won a gold medal.

Even though we have lots of arguments when I was at home last time, and among all other brothers, you were the most rebellious, to me. BUT, Baba can see that you have changed a lot, in terms of attitude. I think that is why teacher has elected you to become one of the school prefect. It requires a full commitment to become a prefect and lots of responsibility and teacher seems to believe that you can do it. It is a good thing. Baba feels proud. :)

Alen, Happy Birthday! =)

Love Story @ Spanish Night

Been so busy myself, with a lame internet connection, I hardly can update this blog as often as before. Even I do have the time, I will usually check my Facebook when the connection is at its best.

Listening to this song recently. Simple lyrics yet has deep meaning. Love this! You shall love it too.

LOVE STORY by Taylor Swift

We were both young, when I first saw you.
I close my eyes and the flashback starts-
I'm standing there, on a balcony in summer air.

I see the lights; see the party, the ball gowns.
I see you make your way through the crowd-
You say hello, little did I know...

That you were Romeo, you were throwing pebbles-
And my daddy said "stay away from Juliet"-
And I was crying on the staircase-
begging you please don't go...
And I said...

Romeo take me somewhere, we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess,
It's a love story, baby, just say yes.

So I sneak out to the garden to see you.
We keep quiet, because we're dead if they knew-
So close your eyes... escape this town for a little while.
Oh, Oh.

Cause you were Romeo - I was a scarlet letter,
And my daddy said "stay away from Juliet" -
but you were everything to me-
I was begging you, please don't go-
And I said...

Romeo take me somewhere, we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess.
It's a love story, baby, just say yes-

Romeo save me, they're trying to tell me how to feel.
This love is difficult, but it's real.
Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess.
It's a love story, baby, just say yes.
Oh, Oh.

I got tired of waiting.
Wondering if you were ever coming around.
My faith in you was fading-
When I met you on the outskirts of town.
And I said...

Romeo save me, I've been feeling so alone.
I keep waiting, for you but you never come.
Is this in my head, I don't know what to think-
He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said...

Marry me Juliet, you'll never have to be alone.
I love you, and that's all I really know.
I talked to your dad -- go pick out a white dress
It's a love story, baby just say... yes.
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh.

'cause we were both young when i first saw you
