Hometown Food - Hunger for it!

Not that I like to eat a lot but I do enjoy eating food. Nothing can stop me from eating what I want. (Unless I am broke, and that will be different story) Secret Recipe, Big Apple, all those shops, I will never miss the chance to stop by and have a break. (Usually “tapau” and go to avoid service charge. I know it’s not much but still MONEY! Anyway, thanks Chriss for telling me this.)

Nevertheless, wherever I go, I will always crave for hometown meals. Nothing tastes better than home-cooked meals. (Should I put exception for this one?)

"asi chelup" or Black Rice

Hot Plate Kueh Teow
"one question: Is Char Kueh Teow the same as Fried Kueh Teow"
(Hint: Char means fried in Mandarin)

Laksa Sarawak
"The best Laksa that I ever had.
Am I being sarcastic here? May be. :p"

Teh C Peng Special
"My favourite drink whenever having eat-out. Never find it in Ipoh so far. Haiz..."

Barley
"What makes this so special since barley is everywhere?
Well, I do it myself!"

Pearl Milk Tea
(but I always ask for chocolate one)
"Ipoh may have such drink but never see one."

There is one more actually:
“KOLO ME’
Mi rangkai as in Iban
Gan Mian as in Mandarin

I heard they do have here in Peninsular but not original at all and much more expensive.

Caution: Some of the food may not be halal.

It's a clear blue sky.

Sea horse-shaped cloud?

Lonely tree..... kinda pathetic

A stream of light

Symmetry of the street light and the sky

BUT,
THERE ARE ALWAYS DUST IN THE AIR WE INHALE EVERYDAY

*cough~~*

PCD - When I Grow Up

Let stop talk about studies for a while. Come on, give it a break.

It has been few days that I don’t surf YouTube and I just go crazy. Anyway, just wanna introduce some new songs to you guys. But if you don’t like it, I don’t mind though. Why do I even care, it’s my life! (Don’t get offended!)

The Pussycat Dolls has recently released their new hit (not sure whether really “hit” but the view of their music video kinda high), When I Grow Up. Well, actually it has been 2 months but I only saw the music video few days before.

The song itself is one thing, the video is another.

Song:
I hate the verse part. Haha! Seriously. Kinda weird to me. Is the composer out of idea to make it more, I don’t know, sexier???

Love the chorus part though. The melody is catchy. Lyrics, no much comment. A bit “perasan” and self-absorbed to me. Haha! Whatever, they can just sing anything they want.

Video:
Towards the end of the video kinda blow me away. Like the dances by the ladies and the music background.

First Semester - Self-Reflection

One week to go will be going back to UTP for my second semester. Not that I am anticipating. Haha! Whatever! Let me see what I have gone through last semester.

ENGLISH
Lecture:
English lecture was the most enjoyable class. Really like the way of the lecturer lectured with all his sense of humour yet informative. Kinda frustrated he did not manage to complete the syllabus for not conducting the last two lectures due to some problems.

Tutorial:
Come late, back early. Woo-hoo!

Computer-Assisted Language Learning or CALL Lab:

ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS
Lecture:
I like the subject but not the way of lecture. He talked too fast and I hardly to understand what he was trying to say. Back to hostel, with all his words wondering in my mind and the mumbo jumbo in the text book, I thought I was going to be crazy when I was doing the assignments.

Tutorial:
Sorry for saying this but this is the worst class of all. Truly learn nothing. ZERO! Just like we conducted the class ourselves. Imagine a tutor tutor with book in her hand. That is not convincing.

PHYSICS
Lecture:
OK, just sometimes don’t understand since he comes from Sudan. Never really like Physics much though.

Tutorial:
The best tutorial session of all. I learn a lot.

Lab:
Most successful experiments were conducted here with minimal error.

CHEMISTRY
Lecture:
Worst lecture of all. Never get to know one bit of any lecture that I have attended. I don’t know whether this is my problem or……. EVERYONE’S PROBLEM. They just don’t admit it. Haha!

Tutorial:
Good tutor but poor management.

Lab:
Most failed experiments were conducted here with high probability of errors. Handle lots of chemicals like acid but only wear goggles and lab coat, no gloves.

MORAL STUDIES
Nothing much. Class conducted at night, so sleepy….

THINKING SKILLS
On and Off. But, I hibernate a lot.

SPORT SCIENCE
Regret taking the class. What the heck, just to pass the university’s requirement.

SUMMARY OF ALL:
Best Lecture: ENGLISH LECTURE
Worst Lecture: CHEMISTRY LECTURE

Best Tutorial: PHYSICS TUTORIAL
Worst Tutorial: ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS TUTORIAL

Best Lab: PHYSICS LAB (or ENGLISH CALL LAB*)
Worst Lab: CHEMISTRY LAB

Best Lecturer: Mr. Razol Mahari Mohd. Ali (ENGLISH)
Best Tutor: DR. HASNAH ZAID (PHYSICS)

Thought of giving out WORST LECTURER and WORST TUTOR AWARDS but that will be too much to handle.

I am looking forward a much better studies life. Don’t make me regret of going here. Or else……
